Hello all from the UK!
After the longest three weeks I have gone through in a while I got home today to find a my new LBGE (and eggcessories) strapped to a pallet in my garage.
Have decided to save the unpacking for tomorrow morning after I pick up a 6lb Butt (or at least a British approximation) from my local farm shop, looking to be prepping it on Saturday ready for my first attempt at pulled pork on Sunday.
Making BBQ sauce tomorrow and although I have some Dizzy Pig rubs on order from the US they haven't arrived yet, so am looking any suggestions on a good rub to make?
Can't wait to get properly stuck into egging!

Try Don Marco's rub. They are all awesome. He is based out of Germany but I noticed they have distribution in the UK. I had it shipped straight from Germany.

Here is one I like to use as a basic bbq rub for pork and chicken
- 1.5 tsp kosher salt
- 1.5 tsp dark brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp smoked paprika
- 1.5 tsp garlic pepper seasoning
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/4 tsp dried chipotle chile
This does well on butt and ribs.

- 4 tbls kosher salt
- 3 tbls Central Market Taste of San Antonio coffee grounds, finely ground
- 1/4 cup sweet paprika
- 2 tbls garlic powder
- 1 tbls cayenne powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar

And this is the rub I usually do for ribs...
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup paprika
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
