Here is my preliminary menu. Let me know if you have any thoughts:
Ham biscuits
Mini Kentucky Hot Browns
Burbon Pork Tenderloin or Babyback Ribs
Ambrosia salad
Turnip greens and/or black eyed peas
Cornbread
Banana pudding or some sort of mixed berry pie
and of course mint juleps!

    We had a great time. Put the horses names in a jar and everyone drew a horse. The winner got mink cakes from a local bakery.
    Last year, I made full size Hot Browns similar to yours (I didn't have heirloom tomatoes though...) This year, since I was also making the bourbon marinated pork tenderloin, I made mini hot browns out of french baguette slices, sliced turkey, and roma tomatoes. Served them as pre race snacks. Looks like ya'll had a good time as well
