What's the Secret for Wok Pictures?

Tonight was my first attempt at Wokking - Beef Fried Rice. I got the peanut oil, egg yolks, broccoli, bean sprouts, beef, soy sauce, pepper, scallions, and rice all ready in bowls next to the egg in the order they would be used. I didn't have time to take pictures because I had to keep moving the ingredients around and adding new ones for each step. I have seen you wokkers put out great photos of your wok cooks - how do you do it and not burn everything? Inquiring minds want to know. By the way, the cook was fantastic and I can't wait to try the Crispy Orange Beef with Broccoli next!

Asbestos knuckles!
Actually, you still have to be quick, but you can let you ingredients rest for a moment in the wok while you take a pic.

Nice looking cook. I find that I have the camera around my neck and after a quick stir I just put the stirrer down and take a pic. Don't worry the meal will not burn during those few seconds. With time you will get more comfortable with the process and pics will be easy.

Depending on your set-up, you could also get a tripod and a remote shutter release to fire pics while you stir. Once your setting are locked in with your camera, all your results will appear the same during the cook since it happens so fast. This is assuming you have a DSLR. There is a device available for iPhones as well that can do the sane thing.Like we all say, there are so many toys that you can get for the egg, not always egg-related.
