Strips were a on sale for a bit less than $7 a pound so that was our cook tonight.
No fancy techniques (not that there is anything wrong with that), just done direct, raised at 400 until the internal was 130 or a bit more. EVOO and Montreal rub.
BTW, half the steak on the plate is dinner, and the other half is lunch tomorrow.

Good looking steaks and parrot. I remember there was someone that would always have a bird in their pictures. Was that you Doc? Maybe they are on the Eggers site.

Great cook, Doc. That's the beauty of the egg and steak, Caveman, Trex, reverse sear, raised direct, fire ring direct and now sous vide finished in a variety of ways. It never gets boring and they are all "fancy".Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!
