Cut Brisket in half??

I am preparing to cook my first brisket. I have a 11.2 lber. I was wondering if I could cut in half and cook one at a later time. Will this dry out or be OK??

good god no. Don't cut it. save what you have left over in the freezer but don't cut a brisket down before cooking!
