Christmas Dinner Question

So wife wants me to do a ham for Christmas dinner. My first inclination is to do it on the egg, call the local butcher and price is $3 a pound and they weigh between 18 - 22 pounds per ham. Holy cow batman!! $66 for a ham?
Anyway, don't reaaaaaaly want to drop that much front clip money for a ham... is it worth it in your guys' opinion? Or should I try and sell a different route?

Damn...lot of ham. Cut out and freeze part?
Donate the rest to a firehall or charity?
Find a smaller ham.
Search for ham recipes on here...seen some good ones.Green egg, dead animal and alcohol. The "Boro".. TN
