Storing it out of the rain but its been wet here, it sits under an eave. I noticed one of the bolts already showing a little rust/corrosion, thought I read that people leave em out in the harsh weather with no issues.
Is this normal? Only a few weeks into rain season, should I expect more to come? Can you replace with bolts from the hardware store if they do rust?
Just cooked some salmon under the eave.... 15 mintues later so good and too easy love this thing.

Good grief, a BGE is an investment, get that thing covered! I keep mine in the garage. Screw the truck, we are talking about your Egg!

Mine are open to the elements...no rust so far. You could get a cover...but a new set of bolts in 5-10 years will cost less than the cover .Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Our large has been on our patio for 6 years, uncovered and Is doing well. There is a cover over the patio but it's not enclosed.XLBGE & LBGENorth Richland Hills, TX

knock the rust off with a wire brush and spray some PAM on the hardware.

You can buy new stainless carriage bolt for a couple bucks a piece from home depot. Mine rusted bad but I change them almost every year.
