Morning everyone!

Cooking up some hamburgers for tomorrow's lunch as a buddy of mine is helping me stack a cord of wood. Figured since I have the egg up and running I should try a new cook. Any thoughts? Below is a list of what I have done and some thoughts on what I want to try.

Cooked:
Pork Shoulder
ABTs
Pizza
Smoked Meatloaf
Salmon

Ideas of what to cook:
smoked mac and cheese
canadian bacon
????

Don't really want to do an overnighter. Thanks for the help!

  • My favorite is smoked turkey.  Breast or whole, either way it's just a few hour cook.

    Two ideas:

One: Ham (I like a bone in it) I do not put ANYTHING on it (zero). I score it and add wood and cook it at 350. This taste like ham.

    Second cook:

Do veg's and sausage with some balsamic and oil, s&p and rub if wanted.

If you haven't done so, you have to smoke ribs on your Egg.

Smoked mac'n cheese with chorizo is at the top of my list.  As well as a very good spicy green bean recipe I picked up at an Eggfest this summer.

I cooked wings last night and I couldn't stop eating them they were so good.

    egg and milk wash
breadcrumb/flour/DP Jamaican Firewalk rub (couldn't find the corn meal)
Cooked indirect at 350 until about 205 F (about 1.3 hours)
Brushed on butter/melinda's XX/DP raging river
cooked another 5 minutes then foiled
