BGE Instant Read Digital Meat Thermometer – PT100
anyone know if its the same one as this

Maverick Pro-Temp Commercial Thermometer PT-100 they look the same have the same number and if so how do they compare to the thermapen if anyone knows

    @bigphil, read the amazon reviews, seems this unit takes forever to settle in at the right temp, 3 seconds is just a suggestion not the 30 second reality. The price is right <$40, but not if it doesn't work. 

    See this forum link, CDN is, like Maverick, a pretty good company, their $70 unit simply doesn't respond in 3 seconds, even though it is claimed to do so. 

    My replacement $90 thermapen is doing just what I expected, reads in 3 seconds or less.
