I'm in
Just bought an egg. Get it tomorrow. Bought the XL with plate setter, a variety of accessories including the BGE DigiQ. Local dealer gave the the "contractor rate" which means I spent slightly less than a lot of money. But I am eager to go. Already have a Traeger pellet grill, TEC infrared gas grill, a Holland protable gas grill, and two Weber kettle grills. So the Egg is a logical progression...
I was most interested in the Primo Oval XL due to the shape and Made in USA. But I decided that a local dealer was most important. Got free delivery and assembly. Hope I don't regret the assembly part.
Also ordered a CGS swing grate and a Woo something.
Might need to do some cooking.
I wish that BGE had a nice iBook with embedded videos for operation, vent adjustment, recipes, etc. A good example is the Pioneer Woman iBood cookbook.

Welcome to the insanity! Seriously, this thing causes you to do things you never thought you'd do. Today, for instance, I picked up 60 bags of charcoal that I ordered in a group buy. My garage is currently stocked with 20 of those bags. Hopefully that lasts through the winter! As for the assembly. It isn't too bad. It is nice to have an extra set of hands, but isn't necessary.Mark Annville, PA

Wow you dropped a bomb! But sounds like only a dent compared to your array of cooking stuff.
You will have no regrets!!_______________________________________________XLBGE -
Welcome to the egging family!

More gear than grub. I need to push the Egg. I make excellent ribs on the Traeger. I want to do pizza and brisket on the egg. Good spatchcock chicken or turkey would be a plus.

Anxious to hear how the CGS items work out. Those are tempting, have already told the wife that ups might show up with something from these guys. You'll recoup the cost of the egg and all of the eggcessories when you sell all the other inferior methods of cooking you've bought previous to now Have fun !

Welcome. You sure jumped in the deep end equipment wise, but you will use them all. I have all the eggcessories that you mentioned, but I accumulated them over a few years.

Your egg should have come with a DVD where you see a chef cross contaminate most of his tools, and rub bottles. There is so much free info here, and at the Naked Whiz there is more than enough to consume.Bx - > NJ ->TX!!!All to get cheaper brisket!
