What is the best way to get a direct raised grid on XL?

I'm switching from a large to an XL. On my large I had a PSWoo3 that I could use for raised direct or indirect. I got a PS with my XL, so I'm good on indirect, but need advice on best way to achieve raised direct.
TIA

I like the 2-tier set-up for the XL BGE...wish they made it for the large.

i use a woo2 and stone. you already have the plate setter, but this allows at the gasket direct and indirect if bought with the stone. could buy the woo just for raised direct though. or the adjustable rig would get you higher in the dome if thats your aim.

What I'm looking for is direct at the gasket. So I could use the woo2 with no stone at get a gasket level?BGE Nation what are the other options!!! -
+1 for Adjustable Rig. I couldn't live without it.My actuary says I'm dead.

I go on their website @Baysidebob and all the configurations of the AR make my head start swimming. It just confuses the heck out of me :( -

I ordered the 2 tier for my xl from the dealer for raising the grid and two level cooks for now, may get the swing rack later.Herrin,IL.

I use bricks
Same here. Fire bricks.

Do you just set the bricks on the fire ring and the grid on the bricks?I use bricks

Yes the XL Woo2 from the CGS brings your grid to the felt line
-
Yes. They don't need to be fire bricks. All bricks are fired hot enough to withstand anything you are doing on the Egg.XL,L,SWinston-Salem, NC

I bought a woo2 for my xl after having bought a plate setter. It provides me all the optionality i need for direct/indirect/raised direct cooking. You may be able to configure the adjustable rig to do the same however, and you will ultimately have more space should you need it.One other note, I intend to use the pate setter legs down on the grate for pizzas.

I have done pizza both ways many times. It seems to work better legs up for me.XL,L,SWinston-Salem, NC

@TonyA thanks for the input. I ordered a woo2. You will have better luck with the pizzas if you go legs up on the platesetter. Legs up lets more air heat the stone without having to also heat the thermal mass of the platesetter.

I use a woo and a pile of bricks. The bricks can be broken to almost any shape and size. It works great and is cheap.Be careful, man! I've got a beverage here.

Yes sir, that's what I do.

@Duganboy - I might be missing the picture here having not cooked one yet, but it seems like people want to get the pizza up into the dome. My thought was Woo, Grate, legs down PS on the Grate.
If you haven't placed your order, the stainless drip pan is pretty sharp as well.
