Hi Guys,
I have had my bge for around a month or so now, I usually fill it just up till the first ring. I have been doing some research into getting a spider and a cast iron grate so I can get my steaks closer to the coals, in order to get some nice searing going, Would just filling the egg up with more coal to get it closer to the lump have the same effect, do any of you fill it full other than for slow cooks,
Thanks

I think if you overload the egg you wont get the air flow you need. I've never tried it. Please let us know.

Yeah never thought of that, I might give it a go this weekend.

I fill to first ring, use a spider and cast iron grate. Works real well for me.
