Help! Maverick ET-732

I just bought the Maverick remote thermometer. I want to place the barbecue sensor probe in the place where the current BGE thermometer goes. The problem is the sensor is too wide to fit thru the hole the previous one used, and I'm hesitant to drill the hole out wider in case I want to go back to a standard thermometer.
I see lots of people here use the Maverick ET-732. Was just wondering how you did it.
Thanks!

I just close the cover on the wire.
Some put it through the daisy wheel hole.Bx - > NJ ->TX!!!All to get cheaper brisket! -
Whoa- do not drill that out. You use the 732 by clipping it to the grate and closing the lid on both wires (meat and BBQ). See attached pic.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX

Thanks ragtop. It was pretty dang good. That was a prime standing rib roast we did for Easter. Fortunately for me, it was the only pic I had of my egg probe to show .Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX
