pork butt/plate setter

i am only a week into owning my egg. i must say the easiest grill i have ever cooked on. i am going to try and smoke some ribs or a pork butt this weekend and was wondering do i need to use a plate setter or not?

It's a adjustable, multi tiered system that uses a ceramic stone for indirect and let's you get your grid a couple inches above the felt....more versatile than plate setter....also more $$.
