Plate setter and adjustable rig?

Hello everyone. I'm a new BGE owner and bought the plate setter, which I have used one time. Now, after reading about the adjustable rig, spider, etc. I have buyers remorse and wish I had bought the rig instead. Now, my questiion is what to now. Will I be happy just buying the spider and 13" cast iron grate? Or would I ever be able to justify having both the plate setter and adjustable rig with accessories?

I have both but use the spider and AR tons more than the plate setter. I added the 13" CI for searing and love it.

Maybe you can sell your plate setter and at least get something for it....now that the adjustable rig/spider is in your head, there's no turning back....that's just how these things seem to work with the Egg.

Spider/adjustable rig combo is the way to go IMO.

put it on ebay or craigslist, at 75% of new. it will be gone before you know it .

Not that I can think of. Adjustable rig is much more versatile.

Some people use it for Pizza with another stone. Saves you from getting a second stone for the AR.

Cowdogs is right, but for another $35 or so, the second stone for the AR is worth it.

The plate setter should be used for pizza's, with the legs pointed downwards and a pizza stone on top is how I set it up for that.

Legs down, four 1/2 inch nuts and a pizza stone. That's what I use mine for. Every thing else ceramic grill works.

Some folks like to elevate their pizza higher so the AR adds this feature. Again, I still use my PS but I do not need it.
