Pizza stone

just tried to cook a pizza on my new egg. I had the stone on top of the plate setter, but then couldn't get the pizza off the spatula. Does the stone have to be preheated or just the plate setter?? If so, what is a good way to get raw dough onto the stone?

Thanks

There are lots of suggestions I've read about.

What worked well for me on my first try was plate setter legs up, grill on top of the plate setter and  stone on top of the grill.

I preheated the stone until it maxed out my temp scanner @ 500+F

I used a peel with cornmeal to slide the pie onto the pizza stone.

You can also build your pizza on parchment paper. Place it on the stone. After a couple minutes or less you can pull the paper from under the pizza. Learned this trick on this forum. Works great
