I am a fairly new egghead. I smoked two pork butts for a party at my house tonight at 6 pm. This is my second time and they were ready waayy earlier than with my first cook. I took them off the egg stuck a thermometer in them and wrapped them in foil and a towel and put in a cooler around 8:30 am this morning. There is no way they make it to tonight w/o refrigeration. What do I do now???
Do I pull them before refrigeration? Do I refrigerate them whole? Stick them back on the egg whole to warm back up? I have no idea what to do. Please help! Thanks.

I would just keep them warm in the oven still wrapped in foil ... try to keep @ 140º or better until about 5 pm and should be good to pull @ 5:30Never eat anything passed through a window unless you're a seagull ... BGE Lg.

i'd recommend pulling and foiling in a foil pan, then refrigerating. reheat it slowly at 250-275 for an hour or so. you can add a small amount of anything from apple juice to coke, etc. if you want to add moisture when reheating.
