I'm new to the BGE community. I live in Colorado where weather can get a bit chilly in the winter. Will having a hot fire inside the Egg and very cold, possible snow, outside damage the Egg?

Being from S. Texas, I can only comment on cooks in temperatures above 100 degrees. :-((__________________________________________Dripping Springs, Texas.Just west of Austintatious

Won't be a problem. If you can stand the weather so can the Egg. I've used mine in blizzards.

When I returned from the desert in February, the temp was below freezing with a ridiculous wind chill. That night I did a couple of ribeyes at over 600 deg. My neighbour thought I was crazy. The egg held that temp with no problem and no damage noted.

I've seen pics of snow all around an Egg and was cooking just fine. I probably cook more on the EGG in the winter than in the summer because I have nothing better to do during the harsh Wisconsin winters. No problems at all as far as damage to the egg and no problem running low & slows in below zero weather overnight.

Me too! The only small issue I've had is in driving rain/snow when trying to light initially. I prop the lid a bit open to keep most of the wet out until I get solid light, haven't had any issue at all at 30 below. Both nuke and low and slow, all excellent.

Being in central Texas I long for the day I can say "Cold and Rain"....
