For those that read the post about the handle guy, here's an update. Marty, the handle guy, lives in California and is a nice guy. We talked a while on the phone and I enjoyed the conversation. To cut to the chase, I got the IP address of the person who made all the bad comments and traced it to the Augusta, Georgia area. Marty is being impersonated.

Thanks HornHonk, I know Marty as a newbie made a mistake attempting to market his product on here, he realized it too, and apologized. I felt like he got a really bad rap after that. I hope your efforts clear things up for him.
-
Thanks. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that. I too, enjoyed the conversation!

Welcome HandleGuy,
I have been on and off the forum so only caught part of what was going on and stayed out of it. Sorry you got the bad rap and hope you feel welcomed in Eggland.

Folks need to loosen their shorts a bit and cut handle guy some slack. There are folks that come on and tout their own stuff and no one says a word.
Thanks to hornhonk for digg'n into this.

Handleguy, as a comparative newcomer to the forum, welcome, and I'm vey glad hornhonk got things smoothed out and then made it public. Good move by him!
This is a terrific place for all eggers with a ton of info and encouragement available.
Enjoy and learn (as I have).

Just ordered some handles from him. Talked to him on the phone--a great guy and a vet!!!
-
I also just ordered two handles from him and within one and one half hours of ordering have received two emails 1 showing a picture of my handle and 1 saying he's in the process of cutting my handles now. I have not figured out how to post photos yet due to time restraint's but will do my best to post pic's of handles and cook's.
And thanks to all of you for all you do on this great forum!!

Should do a handle off between Marty and Mike/Danny.

Forgot about that. Things went downhill fast. Too bad.

Glad it is cleared up, this poor guy was attacked from the start, even his designed was called "too simple and lack original design or thought". Glad Hornhonk cleared it up.

I read those comments and totally disagree. It is a good bit different than the original but not so different that it sticks out. Very classy with clean lines. Almost looks stock and then you notice it. I prefer that.Joe - I'm a reformed gasser-holic aka 4Runner Columbia, SC Wonderful BGE Resource Site: http://www.nakedwhiz.com/ceramicfaq.htm and http://www.nibblemethis.com/ and http://playingwithfireandsmoke.blogspot.com/2006/02/recipes.html

Glad to see you here HandleGuy. You were treated really bad at the other site, I think you had every right to post information about your product. You make a really nice product that only fits a specific grill, where else can you let people know about it?. If you are constantly posting "hey look at my stuff" or spamming us with unrelated products, thats another story, but you didn't do that.
You are welcome here, and feel free to let us know what you are up to. -
Aw shucks, Tweev, I thought I looked cool! :O)
-
Those look great.
