Not sure why my pic didn't show up, but here you go...
-
You wouldn't happen to be the guy making those that was spamming the forum a couple weeks ago would you? Kinda strange your first post ever is about handles.
-
Actually, I believe I have 87 posts... And no, I am not the maker.
-
Sorry, only searched the last 30 days. The guy making those has advertised several times on the forum lately.
-
I am the offender. Sorry. I apologized, deleted my post, changed my name, hid in shame. I get it. I have been lurking ever since.....
Large BGE, Santa Maria Pit, Hasty-Bake Gourmet, MAK One Star Pellet Pooper, 26" Weber, 22" Weber Performer. Most have custom handles made by me.

Mike's (forum member on here) dad makes the best ones I have seen. They are truly original and one of a kind. I'm proud to own one of his custom made handles.
-
I agree chrisnjenn

Does he take requests? Those are awesome, I want a similar one

We obviously have different tastes

I have no idea what happened before, but I do know you make a quality product that I wanted to share.

I like yours a lot also Doug. I have gotten a lot of compliments from my friends on my Razorback handle. Well built and solid. It will last forever like my Egg. Mike's dad is a true artist.

Marty(TheHandleGuy) makes some Really nice handles.TOP NOTCH.I think they are great. Some folks want a little more PERSONAL flair. It's all good.
-
wow guys, let's see.....
marty can correct me if i'm wrong, but to my knowledge, he just started making these handles over the past couple or three months and i'm guessing he posted over here that he would/could make some for those interested that belong to this forum.
he's a grilling enthusiast and a big green egg owner. he makes some really good looking stuff, food-wise and handle-wise. different from the other handles shown here, which i also like. different strokes, different folks.
everyone has got to start somewhere. let's try to show a little more love and a little less alienation. -
here is some prior participation from "thehandleguy", "martyleach"....

Seems to be the SOP over here to pile on people, and make them feel unwelcome.....Very unfortunate :(

That is exactly why so many of the old time, high post count members have drifted away... Only to be replaced by new folks who think that they have to comment on EVERY post so that they jack up their count and "look" like an expert.
I remember the forum 5 or 6 years ago and it was a different place.
Ok - off of my soap box, hope everyone has a great weekend.

Jason,
You really need to start using the forum in 'classic' view more often.
Your reply looks as though it's directed at Hoss. -

hahaha. i have to use it in flat view otherwise i can't navigate it!
i was mostly trying to call the dogs off marty. -
... and the beating of the dead horse in 3....2....1...
-
Calling the dogs off of Marty? Seriously? I read this thread 3 times to make sure I didn't miss anything and not 1 time did anyone attack Marty. Some people shared their handles (I did and so did Sparky) and others commented on the handles themselves.
As far as that other thread (the one where Marty advertised his handles on the forum), Marty got attacked, but he and his buddies attacked back (I wasn't a part of that thread).
I know in America everyone likes to play the victim, so if that is true in this case, then everyone is a victim. -
i missed all the past drama and i don't want to accelerate this thread here.
cheers. -
and i probably used the term "calling off the dogs" prematurely. for that, i apologize.

Look what he posted on the Plano Fest website this evening. You be the judge. I removed his addy.

PLEASE start a NEW thread with that! I'm afraid your comment will not be read by the majority. :(

Nice handles! Of the four amlwoodart handles I have, I think this one is my favorite:
