I am new to the forum. Honestly didn't even know that this forum was here(dumb me I guess) we have had a Large BGE purchased new in 2004.We also have a medium BGE. I am going to sell the Medium on Craigslist and going to ask 450.00 it will come with a cover, plate setter, nest, and a daisy wheel. Is that a fair price? We want to purchase a Small or a Mini for the RV. Which is better for travel. It will just be my wife and I and our 29 year handicapped boy. Thank You! in advance for your response. I absolutely love this forum!! I check it every day. It has helped me so much with cooking hints. Thanks to you all. By the way we are in colorful Colorado.

Welcome to the forum spearguy. You didn't mention how old the medium is,but here's a link that should help you determine the value http://bubbatim.com/Green_Book.php .I love my mini, but the small definitely gives you more options as far as eggcessories(plate setter/pizza stone).Good luck

Here's a refresh for you. I'm surprised there have been no responses - I'd think someone here might be willing to trade up and both of you could come out happy.Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

Thank You! That helps a lot. Trading sound like a great Idea the Medium has the little yellow release on the side but it is not that old. It has the porcelain bottom grate for coal not cast iron. I cant remember when got the medium
-
I got my medium in 2004 and it had the cast iron grate, but yours could have sat at the distibutor/dealer for a while

Your asking price is fair and I wouldn't go down too much from there. I got $450 out of my medium in this area, Medium, plate setter and ash tool.
If you son eats a lot and depending on what you want to cook the mini may be a bit small. Burgers, dogs, brats, steak, fish, chicken parts should work fine on the mini. You can expect about 4 hrs cooking time at lower temperatures on 2 hands full of lump.
We love our mini, the wife and I and one to 3 pre-teen grand kids.
I was going to sell the small too but with the medium gone I am not sure at this point in time.
This may give you an idea of the mini. You will be able to get some idea of food vs grid space.
Could of done 3 (cheese & tomato are great too).
4 maybe 5 stuffed peppers
The mini lights fast and gets to high temperatures fast if you want to go there.

I bought my medium in 2001 and it had the ceramic grate plus the yellow locking lever so it may be older.Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

Wow! Thank you! that is a perfect example GG. I think I may go down 50.00 on the Medium and stick right there. If it doesn't sell i will keep it and still look around for the smaller size I can move in and out of the RV. I am not getting any younger I guess.
