Hi BG,
I run MacGourmet. It is a decent program. I also have the app. My recipes are always with me!
Good Luck,

Thanks, I've seen that on the"app's" site but did'nt know of anyone using it or if it was any good for importing recipies from this site. Cool.

Get a PC  or run windows and use the Living Cookbook.

Yeah, that's the ticket, Kent. Turn your mac into a windows machine. hahaha
I've seen a friend's MacGourmet "cookbook" and it looks pretty nice. I don't have any recipe software, I just use bookmarks. If it goes away, I'll just have to find another I guess.I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

That's exactly what I would do. Love the AirBook but hate the software. I have been thinking of getting one and running full windows mode.

A good thread here ... can you give more info on how you use MacGourmet ... what you like / don't like about it? Have considered it ... Mac IS the way to go! Sad they are sometime behind the times with some programs ... but their simplicity and reliability totally makes up for it!

I really like MacGourmet. I like being able to sync it with my iPhone, so when I'm at the grocery store, I can see the ingredients I need. Also, I like being able to put a picture of my dish with the recipe.
Another good feature is the ability to make a cookbook. I made mine. If you care to see how it does, go to:

It makes a Table of Contents, chapters, and an index.__________________________________________Dripping Springs, Texas.Just west of Austintatious -
I have been using Living Cookbook and been very happy with it. He are a couple of review areas that may help.

I have used Cookware Deluxe http://www.digitalfriedchicken.com/CookWare.html and have really like the software. It allows you to add several pictures to each recipe as well as categorize them any way you want. Every time I shut it down it backs up my recipes. The developer is very responsive to input also.DavidBBQ since 2010 - Oh my, what I was missing.

I use "Shop N Cook Menu" on my Mac and I am very happy with it. I like that the software also does nutritional information and shopping lists.
