Advice Needed Butt Transport

So I have a party to attend and a butt to cook. The party is 2 hours away.
So I can cook the butt, wrap in foil and toss it into a cooler for the trip.
Question is should I pull first or pull when I get there?
Or should I look into something else?

Double wrap it in foil, put it in a dry ice chest and fill the ice chest up with towels. Pull it when you get there.......it'll still be so hot you'll burn your hands!

Remember, in a cooler the butt's internal temperature will continue to increase somewhat so you might consider that in your finish temperature point. If you want to "lock" or maintain a dish's temperature consider wrapping the foiled butt in a couple of "moving blankets" it will hold for hours. I always pull the butt at the serving area because it seems to keep the moisture in the pork.

Agreed! Foil, blankets or towels, in the cooler, pull it when you get there.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.
