I cooked this tri tip last night. I hit it hard with olive oil and Cowlick rub. I cooked it direct at 400 with 4 doses of mesquite chips along the way. Beef + mesquite is where it's at!

I don't think there is a better cut of beef. It was tender as filet and as flavorful as brisket.
