Keeping pulled pork

Hello all,[p]I'm curious to know how long pulled pork can be kept? My wife is a lunatic (vegetarian). I have a vacuum sealer, and have kept PP in the past in the fridge for a few weeks, but I always end up tossing some. Does it freeze ok? Or has anyone reheated refrigerated stuff after several weeks?[p]Thanks all,[p]Justin

<p />J Straus, we have kept it frozen for long periods - typically use the microwave to reheat - about 8 minutes at 30% power in the same bag that we freeze it in.

Gordon - I haven't been down your street for some time so I wasn't aware you have put your home up for sale. With the flight from Peoria to the sea of new bland, plastic sided cookie cutters sprouting up to our West in Dunlap I just bet your beautiful home with that landscaped lot will go quickly! Good luck!

RRP, thanks - we have decided that we really like downtown Chicago and eventually that's where we'll be headed.

    J Straus,
If you've got a vacuume sealer, you need never toss good pulled pork. Seal it up, toss it in the freezer, and it will, be there for you when you need it, even years later. Really.[p]When you're ready to re-live the memories of pulled pork past, simple drop the sealed frozen packets into a pot or pan of boiling water until heated through, then unpack and enjoy. [p](By the way, this goes for most of the stuff you cook on the Egg or any other cooker.)[p]Enjoy,

  • Salmon,[p]Rick, are those French fried onion thingy's on your sandwhich? Interesting... ;-)
