Greetings all Chicago area eggnerds. I was screwing around the other day in Melrose Park and came across the Caputo Cheese Market. They had La Bomba Allessia and plenty of it! They had a bunch of bulk cheeses, pizza set ups, good canned tomatoes, fresh/bulk spices, Italian sausage/beef/lunch meat. Good price too, not the cheapest but competitive no doubt, especially since most stores do not carry what they had.

Check it out. Let me know if you want to meet up and we can make an afternoon of it. It is 45 minutes from me, but I love eggheads!

Hey Tim...speaking of travel and all that...are you planning to come to the Peoria Eggfest again this year? It is Saturday, June 4th this year and will be our 9th annual one which makes it one of the older ones believe it or not!Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

I went to high school about a mile from there. Drove that route every day.
How much are they charging for Bomba?
By the way, about 3 miles east of there, on North Ave. is my favorite Italian Beef. Johnnies. Damned good italian ice, too. -
I will be there and I should have at least 2 people with me. There is talks of us dressing up in an ensemble, details in the next few months.

Ben,
I could not see a price. I imagine around $8 but who knows. Give them a call. They also sell nuts in bulk (with or without the shell) and at a good price. A nice surprise to come across in what I consider the crotch of the chicagoland area, lol.
