Hubby surprised me with a Mini for Valentines Day. Everyone said "that's a crappy Valentines day gift" but they are not Eggheads.

Tonight, we cooked our Valentines day Dinner

My hubby got me a Mini for VD - he was worried I would be PO'd. Best. Gift. Ever. Because we are a family of two and the medium is too big for every day cooks.

I love my husband and I love my new Mini.

Interesting--we both got to 570° or so! We have to discover the highest temp to expect, and I think it might take what it took to finally kick my Small to over 600°, and that was filling it to the top of the fire ring!

Judy -

We re-refurbed a small for my dad and tried a "clean cook" twice before we gave it to him because it had been sitting in a garage for several years. We got it to 600 D twice and it came clean. We were in the 600 range on the mini tonight, but it was first burn and all holes were clean. Plus, it was warm. But yes, I am with you. It will be interesting to see what temps we can clear with the smaller units. Keep me posted on how hot you get!

AHHHH HAAAAAA!!! That is funny! I'm sure she will love anything you give her. The Oreck is such a quality cleaning instrument. But, I have to warn you... You may be using the Oreck more!
