I have got two racks of spare ribs on the grill. In my spray bottle I've got the 50/50 mix of apple juice and and apple vinegar. In the past I have always refrigerated the spray bottle to be safe. Is that necessary or preferable? I wouldn't want apple juice to sit out for the 7 hours or so but does the vinegar preserve the juice? If it is safe, is it better to spray with room temp juice/vinegar?
As always, thanks for the help.

Either it's safe or I have an iron stomach. I always let it come to and stay at room temp.

I seriously doubt there is anything to worry about. The acidity of the vinegar should kill any bacteria that might want to take up residence for 7-8 hours. The Naked Whiz

I watched Mike cooks ribs a number of times and never once saw him do anything with his spray bottle to keep it cold.

Thanks guys! Is it preferable to use room temp spray? It seems that way to me.

I think you are fine with that short of a time period. I do always keep my apple spray out the entire time I am cooking.
