We decided not to participate in amateur hour by going out so we grilled instead. Jalapeno Poppers for an appetizer, Steak and Lobster for the main course, and Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie all on the egg. The wife wasn't happy that I did some baking in the egg since that's normally her job but you can't get upset with delicious!

It's the recipe from the BGE cookbook:
Egg Set Up:
Indirect, 400
Ingredients:
1 cup dark corn syrup
3 eggs beaten
5 tablespoons unsalted butter melted (all we had was salted, didn't matter)
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/4 bourbon (we used basel hadden which is 30 a fifth!)
2 tablespoons all purpose flower
1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans
9" pie shell (if you buy one, get a deeper one or make your own)
Mix everything put chocolate chips and pecans together, once blended add pecans.
Pour into shell, put right on platesetter and bake for 45 minutes. -
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL.
