My 5yr old (almost 6) daughter really really really wanted to cook up the steaks for tonight's dinner.



She was so happy about it all because my wife raved about how good they turned out. They sat in a marinade for 2 days and turned out so tender they were easily cut with a butter knife. I guess I'll "have" to buy her her own egg! :laugh: Next will be my 3yr old son! :laugh:

Your daughter is beautiful and the steaks look great too. What cut and what marinade? My kids are way older but not as enthusiastic when it comes to cooking :(

It's a basic steak marinade based on this recipe. I can't find the original.

I just use the jarred garlic chunks, add a couple of tbsps of dijon mustard, and no hot pepper (too hot for the kids!).

FYI...Disney trumps ANY Eggfest in the eyes of a 3yr & and 5yr old child. :laugh:
