I have had my egg for 3 days. I am having trouble keeping the top vent closed when I open my egg. My husband tried to tighten the vent, but then I couldnt open it with out great difficulty. Does anyone have an idea that may help? Thanks ahead of time.

Mine slides open every time I open my BGE, I just use my tongs to slide it back into place when I close my BGE. Just though about turing the top vent around so that the BGE logo is on the back side then it should not slide open.DavidBBQ since 2010 - Oh my, what I was missing.

Turn it so the slide screw is toward the front of your egg.
