Brisket-Pastrami Question

I have never tried a brisket or pastrami. The question is, what is the best cut of meat to use and can you use the same cut for both brisket and pastrami? Thanks for any help.

Brisket is the cut of meat most used for pastrami, corned beef and Montreal smoked meat.
