I'm in... Registered a couple of weeks ago.
  • Me and my pop are in... He's in Winston, I'm in Ga...Looking forward! I actually drove by the venue a couple days ago when I was in town visiting. Smallish parking lot, so better get there early to secure a good spot!
  • I'm eggcited about the Carolina Eggfest being held in Winston-Salem, NC - My brother-in -law from High Point, NC is going with me - Looking forward to my first Eggfest, hope to see you there.

Yes, the parking lot seems small. Wish they had planned to have it at Tanglewood park.

I am hoping Waldorf is May 1st, but there is a good chance of a BBQ comp that week-end in Asheboro..

Here's a question that will expose my newbie state of ignorance. What's Waldorf?

Ah. Got it. I bet that's a good time. Blue crabs on the Egg? I've been told you can't get there (Waldorf) from here (Charlotte).
  • Celtic WolfCeltic Wolf Posts: 9,773
You have been told wrong.. You can get to Kittrell from Charlotte.. I can get to Waldorf from Kittrell..

Therefore you have been misinformed :woohoo:

Yeah I reckon it can be done, but it's gotta be easier to get to the Delmarva peninsula if you can travel as the crow flies. At any rate one Eggfest may be all I can swing in May. I look forward to the report. Maybe I'll shoot for Waldorf in 2011!

Man that make has me too. My mom is from Ashboro. Blue Mist BBQ mentioned in Ray's road trip book. Ate there all the time as a kid.

If it comes to past it will be a well known competition that was moved..

Considering Tryon (Blue Rigde BBQ Festival) has been forever canceled I hope this one lives.
