prime beef tenderloin help

I've got a prime beef whole tenderloin, and it looks like there's quite a bit of fat on one side of it. Do I need to trim it before I marinate? Thanks.

    For Beef tenderloin, I'd trip it up. No fat needed on there. Some may like it ... but I also cook mine clean ... so that's how I'd marinate it too.

    Hey Larry,

    Welcome to the forum.

    There is a very good article on grilling the Beef Tenderloin here. It may not be written specifically for the egg but it is still a good article.

    Personally I would trim excess fat and tough silver skin, I just posted on grilling Filet Mignon on the egg here. Same critter, different preperation.

    Gator
