Smoked Salmon

I don't ask for help often but now I need it. I just did 10 Lb's of smoked salmon. I used the Salmon University recipe of 3 parts brown sugar, one part Kosher salt and garlic. I was just so unimpressed.Does anyone have a better recipe? It was smoked and dried perfectly but way boaring. Thanks in advance.

    You've been MIA from this board now for YEARS! I didn't think you even lurked here anymore!

    10 pounds is a bunch in MHO and I wonder if that in itself may have been part of the problem. I've enjoyed several recipes over the years and would be glad to share them, but assume other eggers will be posting suggestions before I can get to mine tonight.

    How are the gaskets holding up?
