Grand Oeuf Vert (Tim Brown and his lovely wife Virginia), Lakeshore Living and Harbour Estates Winery got it right on the very first try! Bravo!!! NiEggara was a FIRST CLASS fest. The view from the hotel was beautiful. The Harbour Estates Winery grounds were an absolutely perfect setting; vineyards on one side and the Jordan Bay to the other. It felt like being invited to a high-priced, private affair. Wine tasting. Cheese tasting. Live music. This fest had it all. It is on my short lists of fests to attend in the future. My sister WWSis and I had a ball. The handful of Americans that made the trip were treated like royalty by our Canadian brethren. In a word, spectacular.

Some pictures now to make the no-shows jealous.....

This was truly a terrific fest; perfect weather, perfect setting, wonderful company and many new Egghead friends. Mark

Those are great pics Mark!! But I am a little confused.... there are 3 pics of Little Steven and he did not have a beer in his hand in any of them! Not even the after party???? I am beginning to wonder it is is Pats bad influance that leads him a stray and drives him to drink?????
  • Julie,

Now haven't I been telling you that all along?

  • Hi Jul. Trust me when I tell you he had plenty to drink, and me too. Me, Steve, Tim, Dale(Woodbutcher), Steve(Eggscriber), and a few others closed the bar. I found it amazing this morning that I could drive for 3 1/2 hours without needing to stop for facilities. Alcohol dehydration has its benefits. haha

LOL that is too funny! Next year we will be there! it is not that far for us and if we did not have the show in KY this week we would have been there :(
  • That's nice... Looks like y'all had a great time.

Is the weather like that all year round or is this "The Week" for good weather? LOL

  • Mark,
About all I can say is, "You are Welcome and Thanks for Coming!"
Your assistance in getting those Demo Eggs cleaned up and ready for new Eggheads is something I won't soon forget. Thank you! (I'd have still been there cleaning them out with an Ash tool had it not been for you!)
Your pictures are great! Sure helps capture the spirit of the event. (well, all but the LS pics anyways)
Again, thanks for coming. You and WWSis are always welcome up here!
  • We only have 2 seasons up here...Winter and July!
Really, the temp was slightly below normal but with clear skies. We'll take that!

Steven I am so sorry and I owe you a huge apology. I hope you can forgive me and I really need to rethink my thoughts on Pat :S
  • Steve, The customs guy says, "What are you taking back to the states with you?" I say "Two bottles of wine and a little Antipasto Sauce." He says "Have a nice day." hahahahahaha
  • Mark,

Awesome. I was afraid they would have the swat team out.

  • Thanks Julie,

I was a little worried I was getting a reputation.

Julie, let me tell you, there is nothing funny about your brother crawling into the bed beside you at 1:30 a.m., eating red licorice and then snoring so loud he was at risk from is lil sis! I threw pillows! Arghhh! All aside, though, I'm so glad we were there together, we had a blast!
  • Hey, great pics. It was a fantastic day, I wish a few pics to show, but we were too busy stuffing our faces with the great food and wine to take many. It was great to meet some fellow Eggheads, this was my first Eggfest, and it was a great way to get initiated. I add my thanks to Tim, his wife and the others who helped make it such a well organized, enjoyable event. Hope we can do it again next year.
  • I actually forgot about the red licorice until just now. Munchies you know. hehehehehe Do I snore???

Thanks for the pictures Mark. Looks like Tim & Virginia put on a first class fest. What a beautiful setting. I was truly contemplating going. I went back and forth about it. After seeing these pictures and your commments I wish I would've gone.:( Next year I will be there for sure. As soon as they set the date it will be on my calendar! Wouldn't miss it.

Steve, we all knew it was Poolman's fault. All those past pictures of you with a beer in your hand in EVERY picture didn't tell the whole story. Didn't anyone notice that Pat was twisting your other arm in all of them? Stay by me in Atlanta and I'll save you from the evil Poolman. :woohoo:

Anne, I think we need to really keep an eye on them both! I have gone back through my pics from Fl and I think Little Steven might be telling a little lie.......
  • Thanks Anne,

He's pretty strong for a little guy. He nearly twisted it off :pinch: Just keep him away from me and I'll behave just fine.

LOL!! Nothing like some licorice at 2am  Mark was snoring!....poor guy, he was probably just exhausted from the long hard day he had. :woohoo:
  • reelgemreelgem Posts: 4,256
Julie, didn't you since Steve wincing? Poor Steve, I know Poolman was forcing him to drink. He's a bad influence.
  • reelgemreelgem Posts: 4,256
Florida Grillin Girl and I will be your body guards!! Just let him try to make you drink!! He's in big trouble in Atlanta. :)
