BGE lumps burns nicely and rather small amount of ash but is rather $$$$$
The highest rated one on http://nakedwhiz.com/nwindex.htm
is Ozark oak. That's what I'm using tonight to do my butts . Its the first bag I've had but i like what I've seen so far

Right on. Where did you get the ozark oak from. Thanks
-
beautiful table, very well done, all that room on both sides & down below will come in very handy, & the granite was a great choice for hot stuff & ease of cleaning; consider submitting the picture to the Naked Whiz' site, he has a gallery of ceramic cooker tables, you already have the link above in llrickman's post, your table is unique & would be a nice addition to the galleryhappy in the hut

Great! How did you get those great looking grill marks on the gasket?
-
Thank you! Very pleased with it. I have already found some upgrades for the table.
-
First battle wound and mistake, Forgot to spread charcoal, pulled grill and set on top, immediate burning. Oops!
-
You have done it now, They will always show up at dinner time now. :woohoo: Another virgin Egg never to be white again. Nice looking first cook.
-
You will soon learn to just pour it in. But it's cool to have a battle scared gasket already!
-
Just an observation, Don't be stingy with the lump. You can fill it up to the fire ring with no problem.
-
That is the truth Eddie, the neighbors on the other side poked their heads in to. :ermm: I'll fill it up next time.
-
All the best! You ain't seen nothin yet!!!

Welcome and glad you are enjoying your investment! Looks like you jumped in head first. Awsome set up you got there all ready!!

Great looking cook. I really like the "nest" it's simplicity of design and functionality really caught my eye.

Everything is GREAT. You will love the egg. this year is sold out in Atlanta. but you must go to an eggfeast. also check out the coal bins they sell at lowes. they are made by kingsford. i think they are great.

I was bummed about the eggfest sale out. I wanted to go and get some pointers and learn from the vets. That is my next purchase for the coals. Thank you.

Well done sir.
BRAVO!
Your photos are a big inspiration to me. I am in th eplanning stages to buils the same type of center and I had some questions around the actual Egg section. Your photos have answered that.

consensus here is you need the little green egg feet between the paver and the egg.
