OT: Mrs. RailRoader prayers needed

I don't know how many remember but a few months ago I posted that my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer (Stage 2A). Well 2 months and 2 surgeries later (lumpectomy and another to make sure the margins were clear) she starts Chemotherapy tomorrow. We are looking at 6 rounds of Chemo spaced 3 weeks apart and then 6 weeks of radiation. I know that there is a OT forum but we are looking for the most prayers, Karma and good wishes that we can get. Thanks.

Hello Mr. and Mrs. Railroader, my thoughts and prayers are with you both.

I wanted to let you know that my best friend (an M.D. herself) had good luck with acupuncture throughtout her Chemo treatments and that it vastly reduced the symptoms. Most people don't know about this.

My wife was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer in 2005. Her chemo/radiation regimen was less grueling - four chemo treatments and 28 days of radiation. The recovery from each chemo treatment ain't pretty - all you can do is provide love and support. Hair loss is hard, but a decent wig will elicit complements, and the new hair that grows in is better than what it replaced. We'll keep you and your wife in our thoughts and prayers.
