Just got around to scanning my gift from my 9 year old, Margaret. She spent a long time making a book of things we like to do together, and look what made the short list!

Thats a great pic! Isn't it funny how a child can take a crayon and a piece of paper and just make your day go from bad to great. Kids are truly the greatest thing ever. Congrats

  • Sometimes the best presents come from the kids. :) Those kinds of things are always fun to look at years down the road. :) I can tell by her pics that she is a Daddys girl.

That will be a good one for the big table at her grad party. Then everyone will be pointing at you and the eggs while your cookin up the grub. Priceless!

That is just precious. You need to frame it and hang it in your kitchen!

You are outed - except for the 'sometimes we cook in the oven' part.

So great....reminds me of K-5 graduation this year that my 3rd had. The teacher had the kids read aloud to all the parents some of their favorite things. One of John Reid's favorite things is cooking with Dad and eating Dad's food. Mom didn't get a mention. Folks cracked up. Kind of the reverse of the "Hey Mom!" from NFL players.
I do love cooking with the kids, and it lets mom have some down time around 5 most every day. While tending the eggs, I'm nursing a coldie and the boys are jumpin on the tramp and pleading with me to throw them the football while they are jumping.

Not a thing wrong with being a Daddy's girl... I grew up on my Daddy's heel... Whether he was playing tennis, golf or picking huckleberry's... I was right there with him... Still am... :)

I can't wait to see her and let her know what a great job she did on that picture. Looks to me like we have a possible new egger in the family and maybe she needs a mini of her own to start practiceing for next years eggfest ;) .
