Hey Mike,

I got your email, and replied, but the Mailer-Deamon kicked back my reply. To answer your question about the propane tanks:

Yes, I use propane to light my eggs. I chose the weedburner....it's a bit overkill, but very dramatic, especially after dark with the sparks flying!

As far as how well it works, I can have an egg up to 650 in about 10 - 15 minutes! So as far as I'm concerned, it works GREAT!

If you go that route, I can't stress enough, eye protection, as well as an old shirt designated for the lighting of the egg. There's lots of sparks, especially with new lump. Hope that helps you out! Let me know if I can be of any other help.
