Upper and Lower Band Stretch

My question is it possible to stretch either of the bands to the point neither one of them will let the dome seat?
I replaced my gaskets on all 3 three of my eggs this week-end. The large came out perfect. On the mini and the medium I wasn't able to get either one of them to past the dollar bill test. The domes of med and mini would seat on the base but after I tightened them I would lose the seat especially on the backside.

Try sticking a quarter in the front and press down on the back when you tighten. Just don't break out the drill :ohmy: long story but I learned the hard way
