:( Well this month is my first anniversary with my LBGE and the original gasket finally gave out. I consider myself lucky considering all the posts I've read about folks having gasket troubles. Going to call the "Mothership" today and order a Nomex and follow the instructions posted in the archives by the eggsperts on this topic. Thanks for sharing the info on the how to.

    Buckdodger - how long did it take you to remove old and replace new gasket? Can you add the link you used as a guide to install this gasket? I only got 5 cooks on mine XL BGE so you did well getting 1 year out of your gasket.
