I messed up and let WalMart put in all the halloween and Christmas stuff and take out the RO lump. I checked Oakwood and Mall of Ga and all gone for the Christmas stuff. Any good ideas in the Gainesville, Flowery Branch areas for a good deal on lump?

Check your local Rest Depot. It is RO but from down south. $6.99 for 40 lbs. It works for me.

Which Wal-Mart did you check - Hamilton Mill or Ga20?

Dang Tim. At that price I'll buy from you and pay shipping and gas. 7 bucks for 40 pounds?? Is it as good as the USA stuff?
  • I used some Publix Greenwise Lump last night. Bought some to use on an easy cook. Cooked a spatchcocked chicken last night and it worked pretty good. Only complaint was that the pieces were not big enough..

I've been ordering Wicked Good too. The price is roughly the same as some of the Ace Hardwares in various stores I go to around Atlanta (Some Ace HW stores seem to carry some good lump - BGE or Wicked Good).

Good luck - glad I stocked up. I get nervous when I get down to 3 bags...
  • Hwy 20 and Oakwood.
  • Look for a Primo dealer. I have been told the Primo lump is Royal Oak and it is cheaper than BGE.

I've got BGE lump 20# and Chigger Creek lump 40# in Dawsonville and Cumming.
