I have a Vinison Ham defrosted. This will be the first one I have cooked on the egg, Any Advice, As to what wood to smoke with, rubs ect..... Thanks

i have no idea about vennison but when i do a ham i use this

and as far as wood goes i can not go wrong with cherry at my househappy eggin

I've cooked several whole venison hams. 1) Brine 2)trim all "silver" skin 3)randomly insert a lot of garlic cloves into ham 4)slather with yellow mustard and cover with your favorite rub 5)refrigerate two hours minimum 6)cook indirect at 220* grill temp to an internal of 175*, it will hit a plateau like a pork butt 7) rest in foil for a few hours 8)slice and enjoy
