It cannot technically be a "temporary set-up" without a cocktail in the shot, sorry, but thems the rules :(happy in the hut

Sorry Zip,I don't know where my head was
I'll get right on that as soon as I get up the chainsaws and stuff  -
I guess it's a good thing you didn't make a table for the mini yet, ot it might be on the scrap pile too...
-
Yea,probably so
I just didn't want to spend money adding to this old porch again.I figured I'd be better off starting from scratch :pinch: We'll see
-
what the hell!!! had nothing to do for a few weeks t'ill the fest so you decide to create work for yourself!! hope you are going to keep some time to make me those ash tools??

Yea Ted,that's what wifey said when she almost fell out the backdoor
-
I didn't see any smashed eggs? Are they ok?
-
Yea,I moved them to the carport before dropping the tree and porch. All four survived without a scratch :woohoo: And to think,I almost paid someone $1200 to take that tree down :pinch:
-
Are they licensed insured and bonded? If so you will have a new smoke shack :woohoo:
-
LOL - regarding that boom you used! Borrow that or rent it or just a another toy you own?Re-gasketing the USA one yard at a time
-
No the bucket truck belongs to the company that I work for,so I can use it whenever I want :woohoo:
-
I guess you want be using it much anymore

-
Yea,I just hope it's not too big for me to handle
Only time will tell :S  -
About 30 years ago I worked with a guy who was a deacon at his Baptist church and also served on the church's management committee. The committee decided that they had to take down a tree near the church because they were concerned that it might succumb to the next storm and fall on the church. My friend Jim volunteered that he and his brother would take down the tree at no charge if they could have it for the firewood.
You guessed it! They dropped the tree on the church. After getting over the shock and asking themselves how they were going to pay for the damage they had done, they set about to cut it into fireplace lengths and remove it.
It gets better -- after they had cut it all to 24" lengths they learned that it was a black walnut tree that they could have sold for a large sum if they hadn't cut it up. I don't remember how much money it was, but I remember it was several months' salary for Jim at the time. -
That's pretty darn funny
Since this tree was dead,if a storm blew it onto my house, insurance wouldn't cover it.On the other hand,If I cut it down and it fell on my house, insurance would cover me  I got lucky and didn't even smash the birdhouse :woohoo:
-
Geez Doug, I hope all that damage was intentional. Talk about a drunkin binge! :woohoo:  If your gonna make an omelet, you hafta crack some eggs! Look at all of that smoking wood! WooHoo! It's a good start bro. Just be safe!
-
Hey Todd, all of the damage was intentional(I think) The porch actually survived multiple hits from dropping limbs, but it couldn't hold up to the chainsaw and the winch on my Jeep
And please don't speak of cracked eggs around here :silly:
I'm just glad that the really dangerous part is over

:(
It's a sad day in Eggdom. I know better things are around the corner, but damn man. -
my wife actually said Awww poor smoke shack when i showed it to her... then i told her what you were doing and she said "he is tearing his down!!! and we don't even have one!!!!"

i told her once again maybe one day
although my first reaction was "Ooooo Demolition that's cool"
and after seeing the rest of the pics you have posted it looks like a very tough job...... but still cool
BTW when i told you about my job i told you i work with the "World Champion" two days a week...
well he told me there is a video on you tube of when he was working with the auctioneer that came in second for the "World Championship" this past year.HEREis the link.. you have seen it on tv but that is nothing like the real thing.. the guy in the suit yelling "YEA" is the world champion ringman... one day........ :laugh:happy eggin
