  • Aside from what it does the units are made and sold by one of the most Reparable companies in the busines. I was having a calibration issue with mine, sent it in and had it back in 24hrs checked and properly calibrated, great service from BBQ Guru.

The DigiQ II is the Gold, Red and Green electronic units on my three eggs.

It will assist in maintaining temps during long cooks.

Imagine a world where you can cook for two hours at 250 degs then decide that you would like to finish your cook for 1 hour at 325 degs.

In this world you walk over to your egg, push a button and hold while the led moves from 250 to 300, then walk away assured that your cook is now finishing at 325 degs and the temperature will be more accurately maintained then in the oven in your house. That is what my digi-Q does for me.

To paraphrase an old movie, digi-q is never having to say you burned it... (uhh except when I forgot to set the meat ramp  ).

Caution: don't let the technology replace your basic skills. I know a man with a calculator that can't add when his batteries go dead. thanks rc
