bottom vent sticky and dirty

Can someone offer a good method off cleaning the bottom vent it is starting stick badly.

a sticking vent is a new problem I've never heard about. Are you sure the channels haven't gotten bent some how? Otherwise perhaps ash has clogged the lower channel and that could be brushed or blown away. HTHRe-gasketing America one yard at a time.

Spray a de-greaser in the channels at the top and bottom. Let soak for a while then use a smell tipped slotted screwdriver to clean out the channel. Also, make sure the channel is not bent.

i would pull the door off and brush out the channels firstfukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it

Remove and clean it.
