Do you want roasted red or green bell peppers in a hurry?Use the equipment that is at your disposal and let her rip.I can't believe that it never crossed my mind to try it.Sure beats putting them on the stove top with a gas burner.

ive used it to crisp up bacon on abt's that were coming along too slowly as well, and since you have the propane bottle its good to get a turky burner stand for seafood boils, no reason to stink the house up

Lately we have been roasting peppers in a toaster oven. Its pretty quick and the kitchen smells really good. -RP

Thanks for the bacon and abt tip. When I scrolled down and saw Randys comment about putting them in the toaster flipped me out.The oven part was on the second line. Thank goodness or the his better half would chased him right out of the kitchen.
