coming out of my egg when smoking? I am 1.5 hours into smoking some baby backs. I have yet to see a substantial amount of smoke coming out of my egg. I have two small hickory chunks and a bunch of damp apple chips in the egg.

Yes, you'll see smoke coming out around the seal...no problem as long as you can maintain your desired dome temp.

Hi you should be fine. they would have gotten a lot when you first put them on and they will get a little more as they cook. If you have some smoke chunks in there of the hickory it is a subtle thing and not rolling out like a chimney Julie

See Rick's good response on this yesterday with pics!

Elizabean,
You are in good shape with the cooking. The biggest mistake that folks make, is too much smoke too early on. That can cause an acrid taste. -
