Hope to be moving to a new home soon, don't much care about the furniture etc, but am really worried about getting the LBGE there safe and sound. Any good suggestions for a safe relocation? :ermm:

I haven't had to move mine yet but the best tip I've read so far to to be sure to push the egg while in the nest, don't pull it as you roll it. I've read several posts about pulling the egg and losing the grip and the egg hits the ground.

HHMMM that is not backwards is it? I thought it was pull not push. so if it tips you can catch it?? It will not be falling away from you? any egg pushers or pullers on line to clear up? But we pack ours up and take it camping and have hauled the large from Maine to Florida and back again, till we got our med for down there. travels fine. we de-gutted it, the large, and packed it safely and it was fine. the small for camping we have packed the insides in a tote with other stuff and was fine another time we left it whole and nothing moved. so 50/50 here.

Think you got that backwards there. -RP

It is definately pulling. You always have more control when pulling something toward vs pushing away.
It would probably also be a good idea to pull by the nest, not the egg. -
Definitely pull it around, don't push it. My bad. -
I've witnessed several broken Eggs at fests from pushing, not a pretty sight. -RP

Hopefully it was AFTER cooking.

Thanx mainegg, a little tlc and we are off.

All this pushing or pulling... I don't think you should push or pull it 20 miles. That's will take you a long time and you may hit a rock on the road. ;-)

These ones have about 5000 miles on them like this, you will be fine. I take the guts out....
